HIER Nigeria today participated in the Key Populations Prevention Technical Working Group meeting held in Lafia and organized by the Nasarawa State Agency for the Control of AIDS (NASACA).

The meeting convened a diverse range of stakeholders involved in HIV prevention, care, and support for key populations across the state. It provided an important platform for partners to exchange insights, reflect on ongoing challenges, and explore strengthened strategies for delivering inclusive and effective HIV services.

As an organization committed to promoting the rights and wellbeing of marginalized communities, HIER Nigeria used the opportunity to contribute its perspective on the realities faced by key populations, particularly in accessing equitable healthcare and support services. The discussion also reinforced the need for coordinated efforts, evidence-based interventions, and inclusive programming that ensures no community is left behind in the HIV response.
HIER Nigeria remains committed to working with government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to advance the rights, dignity, health, and wellbeing of key populations in Nasarawa State and beyond.
